有感而发 … …

今天看到了明星志工对，他们去了印度.

突然想起自己也去过印度。

但想到的不是自己受的“苦”，而是想起自己看到过的画面。

那一些让人心酸，难过，甚至不舒服的画面。

但当时看到时，也最多是为他们感到难过，顿时明白自己是多么幸福的.

现在想起，认为自己是多么自私。因为其实我真的没有勇气去帮他们。

我好自私，我怕自己受伤害，我怕他们。

看完了节目，发现自己真的真的好幸福，有饭吃，有书读，有床睡。

刚考完时，前几个钟头还为这几天都没有把试卷做好而难过，但现在却发现考不好试跟他们相比之下真的是为不足道。

想帮他们却发现自己真的什么都做不了。

自己好渺小，能帮的也只有那么小。

好想把自己的幸福分一点给他们，但我又能做什么？

我领悟到：施比受更福。但却好无奈。

多么荒谬的感觉呀… …

有好多人问过我为什么选择去印度。

我只能说因为我学到了你们学不到的东西。

感受到了你们从没有的感觉。

领悟到了你们看不到的东西。

或许嫣然一笑是我的答案。

Now the 22th concert is over, June Holiday is here, MYE is here.
Brace yourself up and start the routine of studying AGAIN.
Years after years, I have gone through countless times of MYE and EOY.
To be exact, this is the 11th time I am having my MYE. This is nothing to be proud of, or to complain of. This must be part of every Singaporean student life.

What am I up to now?
Home-based learning.
Unfortunately, I think I am working towards being a hard-core slacker (Despite telling myself countless times I can't behave in this way)
My two sisters have received their MYE results back, no matter what they get, they will always go back to the point that I will sure score A in my upcoming MYE.
For their information, I have not successfully passed any of my econs or GP paper yet. Maybe they didn't realise how hard is to score A in JC. (OR maybe how hard it is for me to continue scoring A)

Boring life. Really boring...

I had been going to different concerts for consecutive weeks.

I know that you don't have a choice and you are seriously disturbed, but SO?!

YOU didn't even to force yourself to laugh, no wonder you can never be happy.
Even small things can make one laugh, just that YOU choose not to see these small things.

I really dislike people who shout at others for no reasons.

Pimples now love to settle on my face.
Feel so disgusted, don't dare to look in to the mirror now.

My life now turns to a cycle. But I guess this happens to everyone out there.
Everyday, I will wake up, wishing that I can sleep for 10 more hrs straight.
Then I will go to school, and try to study in bus. (But normally, I will be so tired that I just fall asleep LOL )
I will return from school at around 6plus everyday.
I will then bath, have dinner, come online to slack, and then try to study and complete my projects.
I will then sleep at around 12+.
I no longer look forward to Friday as much as before, since I still have to go to school the next day(Saturday).
Sunday is the only day I can have a good rest, only to realise all my tutorials left undone, tests not study.
Whenever I start studying for my chemistry and econs, I feel like crying. I came to realise that no one can help me except myself.

I am sorry to say that, but I really DON'T look forward to my CO practices. Why am I forcing myself living in agony then? The only reason is " I promise myself to hang on, at least till after the concert." So I better consider properly my next step.

I will have to admit that INTERACT is much more interesting and fun. Although I get annoyed sometimes by my buddy for not responding to my questions, but the satisfication gain is beyond words. I feel like a mother when my buddy comes and talk to me about her problems that she faced in life. I do get irritated sometimes, when she decided to spam my inbox everyday. But I am glad that she knows how to 跟我谈心事. Sometimes in life, you really need someone that you can talk to or complain to.

There is this unknown fear inside me that I will have to face not far later.

I ALWAYS believe in this: You reap what you sow.
Till now I still uphold this belief.
You may have a lot of money to spend now, or a lot of time/food/water to waste now, but one day you will have to pay it back.
That is to say I believe in retribution too.

I believe I can do it, because I am working hard now.
You may not get what you want at the end of the day, but your rewards will be in some other forms. Forms that are not visible enough for you to see.
So, the morale of the story is to stay optimistic ALWAYS.

Sometimes, I wonder why human love to commit mistakes, when they know they are doing wrong things at that point of time. This is what it is happening to me NOW.

Whenever I feel like giving up, I will exercise and try to think of my family and friends.
When I decided to give up, I will just go to SLEEP.
When I am feeling really bad, I will just EAT! I know this is extremely unhealthy, but I just can't help it sometimes. LOL

Sometimes I am amazed by myself.
Everyday I wake up, I will mentally countdown to the number of hours I have to stay awake before I can sleep again. And then, I will get really demoralised knowing that I can only find sleep more than 18hrs later.
Again, thats life. Full of ups and downs. I am just going down now.

I only get 22/30 in my third attempt for my physics e-assessment.
After you completed each assessment, they simply don't provide you with the right answers.
How in the world should I know why I got my answers wrong?!
Now, the e-assessment system is down and I cannot continue trying it.

I am trying very hard to keep pace with every single thing.
I am trying very hard to be on the right track, always.

I am trying very hard to stay optimistic, always.
I am really trying very hard, so please don't give me any reasons to give up.

Stop telling me that I am smart.
I am not smart, I just reap what I sow. I am just purely lucky.
I am not trying to be sarcastic here, but stop all the "you are a 8 A1 top scorer leh!" kind of remarks. It irritates me, really.
SO. What can you guarantee then?

For your information, I am taking Alevel next year, not Olevel. Hence, you can't expect me to understand every Alevel-related stuffs. The main point is I haven't took my Alevel yet, something quite different from Olevel. So, don't give me the "how can you don't know" look. I am not as good as you think, or as hardworking as you believe. I am not god, I can't pass every single tests, I can't understand every single lecture, I can't know how to do every tutorial. If you understand your lectures, know how to do your tutorial, score well for your tests or exams, that is good for you. But I don't think you should expect the same thing from me. Don't give me the "but you are smarter than me" this kind of bullshit. I have been thrown into a new environment too, I need time to adapt. I am different from you. You are not me! (not referring to anyone in particular) Why give me high expectations? I am sorry, but I am not up to your standard.

When I make remarks like "I should have enter poly instead of JC". Stop giving me the "you don't lie la" looks. Do you mean that I am lying through my teeth just to show off? Or you think that people who score well shouldn't enter poly? Or maybe you just don't understand me well enough?

FYI, I have been told to enter Poly since I was young by my parents. I had grown up in a environment where my closest relatives all graduate from poly. Even till last year, my parents continue to encourage me to go poly. If you think that "going to poly to study" had never crossed my mind, I will tell you that you are wrong. I have been thinking of going to poly since I was young. The only reason for me entering JC now is to fulfill my promise make last year. I choose to enter JC because I haven't make up my mind on what I should do when I enter the real world.

I am tired of explaining all these stuffs again and again.

Let the past remains as past. Sometimes, I choose not to look back at all.
Why force yourself to pause and look back when you can continue walking forward.

The 6240th day since I was born.

I really dislike myself for complaining so much.
Nowadays, I am getting from bad to worst.
I will start complaining to everyone around me. I start to complain about everything.
I got water, food and shelter. Ask me why am I still complaining, when I know I am fortunate.
How ironic. Maybe I am just trying to push the blame to someone, so that I am feel better. Or maybe I am just still not ready to accept that things don't go well all the times.
Why am I complaining? How often have I ask myself this dumb question.
I just have to accept the fact that sometimes shit happens in life.
At least, I know that my family is always behind me, supporting me. My friends are always out there cheering me up. Even though, sometimes they don't show it out.

If you are wondering what am I up to everyday.
This is the answer.
I wake up everyday before The Sun does so.
And then I will go to sleep approximately 6 hrs after the Sun does so.
I spend two hours of my life everyday travelling.
I spend at least 2 hrs everyday in front of a computer, typing furiously.
I listen to at least 20songs per day.
I tried to laugh hard everyday. Sometimes, I just need to laugh hard to move on in my life, even though the joke is not fuuny at all.

The 6222th day since I was born.

How many people really mean it when they say "friends forever"?
I was travelling home from class gathering + Kbox, thinking all the way through in the 30mins bus ride. I was thinking of the definition of "friends forever". This is my conclusion, "friends forever" means friend that you can still talk to 60 years from now. Friends that will attend your funeral and cried when you passed away. Literally, it really means forever. But how many people can do that? How long can a friendship really last?
This is often the case: " You are once my very close friend, but now you are only my friend"
Time has the power to turn your close friend to a friend, and then a "hi-bye friend"

But then, my grandma's story had overturned my theory.
I should name my grandma's closest friend as Person A.
The friendship between Person A and my grandma was at least 35years. (I don't know the exact number of years) I believe this friendship is still there even though my grandma had already passed away.
Before my grandma passed away, they will talk on the phone nearly Everyday, visit each others house just to sit down and chit chat. Their friendship is strong, even after so many of years.
Person A attended my grandma's funeral.
I will never forget this scene:
Person A come to my grandma's house after my grandma passed away.
She held my hands and said this: 不久前我才来这里和她聊天，现在她已经不在了。
Then she started crying.
It really hurts to see an old woman crying so hard.
It is more than pain. More than agony.

Hence I concluded: Friendship do last, but it needs both hands to clap.
Will I be fortunate enough to have a friend like Person A?
To my beloved friends: Friends forver, and I really mean it.

My life is going to restart from tomorrow onwards.

I have to accept the fact that this is a new phase of my life.

7 days ago. I celebrated my 17th birthday.
You may not have realized it, but I don't really look forward to my birthday.
After all it doesn't feel good to see your birthday cake covered up with candles, trying hard to find a place on the cake for you to poke in the 17th candle.
However, my dear dear family and friends make my birthday a happy one!
At here, I thank all my friends and family who had wished my Happy Birthday whether it was via facebook, sms, msn or whatsoever.

Xinmin is my home.

I don't know why, I feel so drained.
I forget nearly everything about Chemistry, and it is killing me.
I am trying really hard to recall every single thing that Mr Lim had taught me, but my memory failed me AGAIN! Seriously, I really don't think I can make it for the GP.

It is quite ironic to receive the orientation bag after orientation.

My throat hurts like ABCDE-eeeorix!
VJ's mass dance at suntec's fountain of wealth.
Forming "Xinmin-train" and shouting Xinmin's cheer, circling the fountain of wealth.
I will say that yesterday is one of the happiest day of my life.
I cheered really loudly with my OG yesterday. I danced really hard yesterday.
I like my new class, nice people, good spirit.

Anyway, daniel and zheng dong's plan to crash our mass dance failed. I think we had crash them instead. They must be thinking how come we become so crazy after we enter VJ. hahas.

ps: I am sad that orientaion had ended so quickly.

The 6175th day since I was born.

Last night, went to have the annual dinner with my father's collegue. My aunt joined us this time too! As usual we "lao yu sheng" and ate my father's favourite "beijing kao ya". I always enjoyed that "laoing" yu sheng part. I normally did it thrice a year, sometimes more.
Chinese New year will always remind me of decorating the classroom. LOL.
I always dread the period when we had to stay back and decorate that damm classroom. But come to think of it now, it was quite fun actually. 总是一边埋怨，一边做. But I heard there is alot of class banner making in VJ, I will make sure I enjoy it this time.

Hope that NJL will be able to make it to VJ!

My contribution (for the potluck) was a honey chicken. Mind you, is the whole chicken.

Unfortunately, the death of the chicken was not worth it. (we did not finish the chicken you see) But the chicken was not that expensive, so it was okay. That was quite practical of me.

The 6162th day since I was born.

Went to Tan Tock Seng to check up my annoying nose.
I like the doctor, much better than the previous one. I was told that I am the lucky one who got attended by the "big doctor". The nurse said that the doctor has quite a high ranking in the hospital. LOLs.

Back to my allergic nose. In order to cure my nose, I am undergoing a small small nose operation in a major operation room. I am excited to find out how a major operation room look like! The doctor said that it maybe painful as I will only be partially anaesthesia.

PS: No pain please!

Receiving results at 2pm, which is 4hrs 30 mins from now.
How many times have I imagine myself sitting in the hall, waiting for mdm liew to release the results. Ironically, I am not as nervous as the past two days now.
难道暴风雨之前，是平静的?
I shall stop thinking?

I was browsing through the various polytechnic website.
Ha! Is not that easy afterall!
Biomedical science course( Singapore poly). So they only accept 80 students and their cut off point is 9!
Banking and Financial studies course in Ngee Ann needs 10 points and international studies need 9 points.

I think I will choose Ngee Ann if I enter Poly.
The following are the courses that I am interested in:

1) Banking and Financial studies
2) Business studies
3) International business
4) International supply chain managment
5) Accountancy
6) Biomedical engineering
7) Chemical and Biomolecular engineering
8) Biomedical Science
9) Human Resource Management with Psychology

JC or poly? I will soon find out the answer myself. But the courses look tempting.

Everyone in my family ask me.

First my mum.
"You know you getting your results the coming Monday".
I told her yes.

Few hours later..
My second sister asked.
"Da Jie how do you feel getting your results next monday."
I remain silence.

The next day morning..
My father.
"You getting your results next monday arh. How many As do you think you can get?"
I told him I don't know.

Seriously, I don't need them to remind me. This time the feeling is not right. I never once got so worried for my results before. Maybe because I know I did not do well and I am not confident at all.

Chalet is over.
Olevel results are coming.
NOOOOOOOO!!
I don't want to accept this fact.
There is this fear growing within me. I know I should tell myself this: "There is nothing you can do. Just pray hard." I can't help but to keep on thinking that I did not study hard enough for Olevels. I hate Monday!

3 more days to 2010.
2 more weeks to the release of olevels results.

In a few days time, 2009 will become a past.
I remember how I "look forward" to 2009.
After all, 2009 will be a busy yet memorable year. ( SYF & Olevels )
And now, I look forward to see my days without "Xinmin".
I had been closely related to the word "Xinmin" for the past 10yrs.
Being an ex-student of both Xinmin Primary and Secondary,
2010 will be new breakthrough.
Finally, after 10 long years, I am going to step out of Hougang Avenue 8.
I sound so pathetic.
Not that Xinmin (both primary& secondary) is a prison in disguise,
I just merely look forward to study in a new environment.
I entered Hougang Avenue 8 at the age of 7,
and I am leaving the same place at the age of 16.

From 7 to 16, every year taste differently for me.
Primary one, it seems to be bitter.
Primary two, I think it tastes like vinegar.
Primary three, it tastes like lollipop.
Primary four, it tastes like chocolate.
Primary five, it tastes like ribena.
Primary six, it tastes sour.
Secondary one, it tastes like plain water
Secondary two, it tastes like MSG.
Secondary three, it tastes like biscuits.
Secondary four, it tastes like chili.

I start wondering how 2010 will taste like.
Sour? Sweet? Or simply tasteless?
I shall tell you the answer when I start counting down to 2011.

My legs are aching like ABCDEFG. Thanks to the past six days of non-stop walking.
Met a new HongKong friend, Rita :)
Coming back to Singapore just before boxing day ends.

Avatar. Besides 赤壁，I think this is the best movie I watched for this year.

Initially, I thought it is some kind of "cartoon" movies with blue people flying around.
Then, I realised I was utterly wrong.
I assumed that the humans need to wear masks due to the absence of oxygen in the Other planet. But then I came to think about it, how can they burn down the forest without oxygen?
It doesn't make sense. Unless, oxygen is not needed for things to burn in the Other planet.
Lols.

Less than 24hrs time, I will be close to the sky once again.

If you are sick and you need help immediately, would you approach a malay nurse or a chinese nurse?
My answer will be the malay nurse.
I always have this impression that malay nurse is better than the chinese one.
Why?
During my primary school days, health screenings are conducted every year. Health screening- one of the government policy to maintain healthcare in Singapore. 用心良苦呀！
Then, I learnt something.
Chinese nurse will never fail to look into your eyes. Her eyes will then try to tell you that your father owns her thousands of money. That kind of stare. They will also scold you for reasons like "walk too slow" or "never move up".
On the other hand, malay nurse will smile to you. Malay nurse will never 催你!
So what do you think?

Speaking of hospitals, I must say something about India Hospital.
Xiao Yan Jie told me that India's hospitals looks like Singapore's hospitals in the eighties.
Not to insult. Just saying the truth. What a honest kid!

My answer:
Is not about following what the majority are wearing.
People look pretty/handsome because they are confident of their own looks.
Comfortable wearing should be the key of your choice of wearing.
当你跟着潮流走，其实已经慢了，因为别人已开始在穿，你才开始跟着穿。
如果要站在潮流的顶端，就因该创造自己独特的穿着方式，让别人跟着你走。
这样才是站在时尚的顶端，因为顶端只容得下一个人.
是要别人跟，还是要跟别人，就看自己了！

This is it. Alone at home.
My dad went to work,
my mum and sister went overseas for 4days.
No. Don't misunderstood me.
I love the awakard silence actually.
This means more than 12hrs straight of computer and television,
not forgetting washing the clothes, watering the plants, feeding the fish, ironing the crumpled clothes, cleaning up the mess, cooking lunch and dinner, sweeping&mopping the floor..
Not complaning. Just proud that my mum actually do all these stuffs every single day.
I am such a pampered kid.

Seriously, I hate myself for complaning, when I know I am this lucky kid living in her own sweet world.
I think differently nowadays.
The trip to India impacted me a lot.
I thought I learn a lot when I visited the rural areas of China two years back, BUT
it was nothing compared to what I learn in India.
Thats why I get annoyed sometimes,
when I heard people complaning "they don't have this, don't have that".
For instance, "My parents don't buy me handphone, PSP". " I don't have a chance to go overseas".
Thats silly.
Don't rebuke me and say " Cause you have everything. You have phone, PSP, and a chance to travel overseas. You don't understand the feeling of having nothing".
Bear me for being a kid who has everything, yet calling people who have nothing to Shut up.

We have everything. Just that we don't realise.
Before you complain, think about simple tasks.
Able to have food to eat, is one small thing we should be grateful of.
